This is one of the earlier shots I made of a thimbleberry leaf with the Canon PowerShot A85 back around July of 1997. I was beginning to experiment with what the little 4 mega pixel camera could do and was getting excited at the color and detail I was seeing. From underneath the leaves had a glow about them as the sun's rays came from above. So I wormed my way down low and filled the camera frame with one of the biggest leaves from below.
Maybe it's a lesson to always be willing to look at things from a different viewpoint. It might open up a whole other world.
